One of the most important things for you child is expressing themselves. Arts and Crafts allow them that chance. Not only that but there are so many small motor skills and preschool lessons that you can tie in with arts and crafts projects.
You don’t have to be artistic to do crafts with your children. Your child “doing the craft right” isn’t impotant either. The point of doing craft projects with a child is simply to let themselves do what they are born hardwired to do. Express themselves, try new things, learn new things. And for us as adults it’s about letting go a little bit.
Craft projects don’t have to be complicated. It’s a blanket term that can mean alot of things. We do a specific “project” once a week, but everyday the kids are painting, drawing or Gizmo’s favorite: gluing shapes.
