I’m squidmom because Squid is one of my nicknames, one of the ones that I like the best. Because it’s different and I’m a little strange different.
Basic info: I’m a mother first of all. I have two beautiful daughters-My eldest is 5(soon to be 6) and my youngest is now 4, which kinda breaks my heart.
The Kid is my 6 year old. She is spunky and smart and she questions everything. She likes drawing, making up stories, action figures and exploring.
Gizmo is totally crazy for anything princess and pink.She loves drawing, as in if she’s drawing she’s closed off to everything around her. She also likes cooking with me. Her alter ego is Mars Girl. (This is Gizmo in the video below,this captures her personality pretty well right now, I think.) And ours,think… happily quirky.:)
I’m married to a work from home artist from England. He’s immensely talented, I’m a little jealous of his talent but I’m working on that. I’m also unbelievably proud of his talent too. His talent is what first drew me to him. Also he’s a studmuffin,also he hates when I call him that. (Which is obviously why I just did that.) I also sometimes refer to him as the Goblin King, because he’s cool like David Bowie or something like that. 
I’m an artist too, although it’s been really hard for me to ever call myself that. I love to paint and draw,craft and create, it gives me alot of happiness-so I’m going to call myself an artist. I can do that because this is my blog.;)

What will you find here? You can expect to find a lot of pretend play moments that I share with my children,enjoyment of art , crafts, learning activites that I’ve tried out and snippets of our life in general.
It’s important to me to make the most of my children’s moments. Obviously I want Holidays to be huge…but I also want to throw a tea party just because it’s the third Tuesday of the month. Because whim makes life interesting and sometimes magical. (Just like childhood.)
